A straight contains five consecutive cards of the same suit, and a three of a kind is made up of 3 cards of the same rank, plus 2 matching cards of another rank. A pair is two cards of the same rank, and a high card is any non-matched card.

Poker strategy is all about understanding the odds and making the best decision based on those odds. It is important to avoid getting too entangled in losing deals and only play against players that you can beat. This will ensure you have the greatest chance of winning each time you play.
